How is revenue start and end date calculated in REVLOCK?



If you are not using contract term feature, we use invoice billing period for revenue recognition.

If you are using contract term feature, we use start date and end date from contract details on subscription.

Do I need to use the Contract Term feature in Chargebee?



You only need to use the Contract Term feature in Chargebee if your invoice billing period does not equal the contract. An example for this would be an annual contract with quarterly billing terms.

Can contracts have different revenue start from the start date specified on the contract details?



Yes! We support revenue start date that is different from the contract start date specified on the contract details. To use this feature, you will need to add a custom field of type Date on the subscription object in Chargebee that will be used as the revenue start date.

When a contract auto-renews, the revenue start date of the renewed contract will automatically be the start date of the renewal and the end date will be computed using the Contract Term configuration for the subscription.

Can I download custom fields from Chargebee into REVLOCK?



Yes! You can download custom fields from Chargebee. The settings that enable this feature is configured as part of onboarding process.

How are subscription modifications handled in REVLOCK?



When a subscription is modified in Chargebee, REVLOCK automatically synchronizes that change. If any prorated invoices or credit notes are created due to the modification, that also get synchronized.

How is subscription cancellation handled in REVLOCK?



When a subscription is cancelled, REVLOCK adjusts the revenue plan for the subscription to end on cancellation date.
