Overview
RevLock’s planning and budgeting tool allows users to set up original budgets, track the progress through the life of the project, modify projects based on actual performance and/or change orders and monitor resource requirements for projects and potential projects. Long-term projects can create tracking issues for accounting and finance departments that need to keep track of budget versus actual performance and compute percentage complete as project managers move projects towards completion.Few readersSystem Configuration
The following configurations affect all projects across the company. These include setting up your labor pool, categories and departments. In addition you also set up project types and stages. Setup Contract Type: Each project will need a contract type. The contract type is used to determine the revenue recognition parameters throughout the project life. Work Breakdown Structure is a logical division of a project into phases and tasks. RevLock is designed to handle multiple phases (or major activities) throughout the life of the project. Within major activities, you can define sub-activities for more detailed tracking and analysis. The WBS is the foundation of the budget building process. Overview of User Roles and Permissions used by RevRec User Roles give Administrators the ability to control what users can do within the system, without giving full administrator access. A Role is a collection of Permissions which could be based on a job function. Permissions are assigned to Roles and Roles are assigned to Users.
